Project in brief
At the site of Obermettlen we are developing an assistance tool to improve the precision, efficiency, and climate-change adaptability of the traditional practices of cattle farmers. Together with Marlen and Stephan we are linking our technological weather and soil measurements with daily tasks like manuring the meadows thanks to our software app.
Set up
The first steps of installing the weather and soil monitoring station on the farmland of Obermettlen.
The hardware component of our solution (the weather and soil monitoring station) blends into the farm in a non-invasive way, respecting our value proposition of non-invasive and non-disruptive technological support for farmers.
The cattle enjoy a perfectly green meadow near our weather and soil monitoring station: modern technology and traditions melt together thanks to our respectful solution.
Water infiltration measurements are necessary to determine the physical characteristics of soil. In this way, we can calibrate our model to represent the reality of the field.
